Just Spreading the word

I really don't know what to title this post since it's the first on this blog, but I just want to use this as a way of spreading the word. Since we're to live each day like it's the last, it's better to pass down the knowledge that you have to others before it is too late.    Don't get me wrong, the reason why I created this blog is just to spread the word. As young as I am I've discovered things about this life and about God that the world needs to know. We think we know it but we don't.     I realized that things have changed over the years and so has our way of living as children of God. Most of you who are reading this know that my Dad is a Pastor and a very good man. Being the child of a Pastor has opened my eyes to things that so many Christians go through. And when I study the word of God I realize that some things should never be but they are because of ignorance and maybe a little bit of fear. Fear that we maybe criticized.   ...

Give unto the Holy Spirit what belongs to the Holy Spirit ! ! !

Hello my fellow lights of the world, Welcome to todays episode of my blog. An Exclusive episode of the Children of Light Blog😂😂. Don't mind me. I couldn't find a convenient or suitable intro for todays post. Please just take it as it is. If this was a podcast, it would have made more sense. Maybe I should start a podcast. If you think I should, please say so in the comments. Anyways, lets get into todays talk.  Title seems confusing, right? I know. But it's not really that confusing. I always say that the guidance of the Holy Spirit can never be overemphasised in everything and every area of our lives. The fact that he's a spirit, is probably why a lot of us tend to overlook his presence. It's like Air. Until your nose is blocked, you don't realise how important it is to be able to breath. Until the Air is polluted, you never realise how important it is to be able to breathe cool and clean air. The Holy Spirit is as important to Human beings as air is to every...

Intentionality of Relationships

Hello Lights of the world,  Yes, I know, I've been away for a while. My sincere apologies. When family calls, I have to answer. I had the final burial rites for my grandma who died in November, last year. I want to use this as an opportunity to say thank you everyone who showed up and supported me and my family in one way or the other. Including my amazingly large family, both home and abroad. I really appreciate you all. So without wasting time, I'll get right into what I have for you all today. First off, I'm not even sure there's a word like "Intentionality", but I'm gonna use it like that. We're in a generation and time where everyone's particular about being "Intentional" in everything. I think it's because, there's a lot of deceit and fakeness everywhere and deep down we are all looking for genuine and sincere actions from the people around us. The rate at which there's so much fakeness around leaves us with a lot of bo...

Treat me like I treat me

I was once asked the one thing I live by or phrase I say regularly. Although, the common phrase I always say is "Life is not Hard". But that day, the answer I gave was, "Do unto others what you'd like them to do to you". In secondary school, I hated Economics but one thing that I learnt from the Subject that I can never forget is this "Human Beings are Insatiable". Humans are never and can never be satisfied. Sadly for most of my life, I did a lot of things in the name of trying to please people. Growing up as a Pastor's child, there's always one complaint or comment or the other about my appearance or the things I did.  My mum had explained to me once that couldn't wear trousers because it would have been setting the wrong example for other young people in the church because the church had certain policies about dressing, which thankfully, now have become, let me say, more relaxed. Anyways, Issues like this made me very self conscious whe...

Don't Give Up (He's Always By Your Side)

Hello Lights,  Hope we're letting our Light Shine Bright. It's been a minute, I know.  Fear is a terrible disease. After all the birthday celebration two weeks ago, I had my POP (Passing Out Parade) from NYSC two days after. All thanks to God for the success of that experience. Yes, It was an experience. Thankfully, I learnt a lot this one year of service. Sadly, the end of my service brought about a realisation. Now, I had to face the world of "Job Searching". The mere thought of this made me scared. I hate uncertainties. Unfortunately, there's no way of actually knowing what the future holds before hand. So the past two weeks went from "happy to be a year older" to "I'm getting old", "what am I doing with my life", "I need a plan", "What if I don't get a job, how would I cope", and many other questions.  And so, I became worried and scared of the uncertainties without realising it. This in turn affected m...

Value of Friendships (A Birthday Special)

Hello Lights😊 I hope we're all catching our breath in anticipation of the election outcomes and hope we are safe. No matter what happens, please lets not forget, we are God's own and he's got us.  In other news, I'm so excited about this post cos today's my Birthday, well I chose today. I was born on a very special day, 29th of February. Yeah, so I can choose to celebrate any time I want cos there's no 29 this year.😁 Funny how I was overly excited to celebrate my birthday this year even though, as some claim, I don't have birthday this year. I had no idea where the excitement came from, I was just so eager to do something to celebrate this year. But the closer the date got, I came to the realization that I may not be able to do anything serious to celebrate because of the elections and all. I was really bumped honestly. But the Holy Spirit reminded me about the thrill and excitement I had at the beginning of the Year and asked me why I was excited. So I be...
