Going Back To The Instruction Manual

Hello my fellow Lights of the world, 

How are we all doing? The last two weeks have been a bit overwhelming especially with the situation of things in the country. I'm sure my Nigerian readers would understand what I mean. From the scarcity of fuel to scarcity of New Naira notes and then scarcity of cash in general. With the elections approaching, the next two weeks are probably going to be a whole lot worse. But! What we, as Lights, need to know now is that no matter what, we shall conquer and come out strong. 

I would like to apologise for not posting last week. Like I said earlier, I was a bit overwhelmed and I just couldn't sit down write. Trust me, I tried, but nothing came. Omooo, consistency is hard ooo, I just have to say. Sometimes, there's just no motivation to be creative. But I've realised that one of the reasons I sometimes struggle to create, whether its to write or draw, is that, for a moment I tend to forget where the strength, motivation and creativity comes from. For instance, when I initially started this particular post, all the Holy Spirit gave me was the Title. HOW? After a period of meditating on the topic, How? I got the understanding on what this was going to be about but when I sat down to write nothing came to me. All of a sudden, I didn't know how to start it, from what angle, how the introduction should be and all of that. After a week of struggling, I finally took some time to actually analyse the situation and find out why I was struggling cos I really needed to put something out. I prayed, and when I had finally found peace in the midst of all the overwhelming issues that had been bothering me, I was able to write. 

Where am I going with this? Its one thing to know and understand the fact that you're the light of the world and that you need to shine your light for the entire world. But all of that is just mouth making if you don't know how to shine your light. There are practical actions and steps to take alongside the grace of God. After all, the Bible says, "Faith without works, is dead". So what are the things or requirements needed to Shine your Light. 

First off is something I call "Going back to the instruction manual". This is a phrase I've found myself using a lot recently. Many of us when we buy a new gadget or device, we forget to check the instruction manual. Sadly, that's how we relate with God. There's the sense of excitement that comes with finally figuring out your identity and will of God for your life. It can be so empowering and exciting that for a split second you forget who gave you the assignment in the first place. This last two weeks reminded me that to be able to shine God's Light effectively, you need to go over the Instruction manual. You can't just pick up a Phone you've never once operated and expect to have expert knowledge on how to use it except you have some kind of guide. Same goes with shining your Light. You need to know the instruction manual inside and out.

Thankfully, we have the best manual ever. The Word of God. The only requirement to understanding it is to consistently meditate on and study it. And in situations where you're having trouble understanding it, we have wonderful customer care agents we can call on for help. The Holy Spirit is available 24/7 and if you prefer a physical one on one approach or session, there are so many servants of God that we have access to. This may not necessarily be a Pastor or a big man of God but even if its your Sunday School Teacher or Ministers of God that you trust. 

You can never go wrong with carrying out the instruction of God by following the manual. When I say follow, I mean follow it by the book, word for word, consistently. You need to have a consistent connection with source. This why I struggled for years with being consistent with this blog, and putting out content that God wanted from me. This why a lot of us struggle with being consistent with obeying Gods instructions. We get so caught up in the thrill and excitement of doing something new and mighty for God that for a split second we forget the manual. We put it aside and unconsciously decide to continue the will of God without the help of God. 

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Therefore, I'm here to remind you/let you know, that to Shine your Light, you mustn't for even a second drop the instruction manual. Let it be your daily guide and watch word. Let it be a part of you. Let it define who you are as the Light of the World.
