Hello Readers,
Okay, so I'm still trying to figure out what to address you guys as (lol) my devoted readers. I sincerely appreciate the encouragement I've received since I started this blog, from both family and friends. You all are the best. Thank you for reading and hearing me out.
Right. So in my last post, I spoke about how I struggled with my identity for a not so long, not so short period of my life. Going over it all, I see why some people would go through identity crisis and come out saying they're gay or bisexual or whatever. I don't blame any of them honestly. With the way society is now... if you don't have God as a solid foundation, you can easily be swayed by the world. In other words, if you don't know your identity, the world will give you an identity.
Sometime last year, I was invited to speak to a set of students during their end of the session party and in the process of the talk, I remember making a statement about peer pressure in the university. I said "if you don't create and determine your standards yourself, your peers will give you a standard". I remember hearing myself say that and immediately thinking of all the times I didn't stand up for what i believed in as a child of God. A lot of us only remember who we are in the church. In fact, its become a competition to know who's more spiritual. In the church!!

I love the above scripture cos this the scripture that helped me understand my identity in Christ. I realised after secondary school that as human beings, no matter how hard you try, people we know you. No matter how introverted you think you are, there's always that one thing that people will know you for. Whether its a good or bad. This I discovered is because we are naturally light and it is in our nature to shine. That verse says "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF WORLD".
Even if you're confused about anything, this is one thing you shouldn't be confused about cos it has been predestined already. Whether you're a Christian or not, you'll shine in whatever you do. That is why even evil people and criminals prosper. So if criminals and unbelievers are prospering and are bold about it, who are you, a child of God, to not put that identity to good use.
Hello, do you realise that being able to walk in that identity as light will bring forth greater works than when an unbeliever uses his light. Its like how Toyota is everywhere but you are friends with the owner of Toyota. Your own Toyota will not be like the others. In fact, if you want a customised one you'll get it. So you are light. The question now is "What Light are you shining".
Are you just shining your light or are you shining like the one who made you light? Are you walking in that identity? Are you letting the world know who you are in Christ? Are you shining as the light of the world?
If you aren't... What are you waiting for?
Arise!! You are Light and you must shine!
You must shine for the world to see God in you! When people see you, they should see Christ in you. It is your destiny. Walk in it.

I think I got it. From now on, I'll be greeting you all as Lights.
