MUSIC, GOOD OR BAD, GODLY OR UNGODLY

      Please ignore the title I just didn't know what to use as the title of this post. It's more of a question so I want you to just drop whatever you think is the answer or suggested answer in the comment section. It's something that affects young children of God of this age and time.
      What's the deal with our choice of music especially non gospel music. What effect does it have on us as children of God. Because to me the only thing that attracts me to non gospel songs is the the beat of the songs. Most of the time the words don't mean anything to me. Some times I find myself deleting those songs from my phone but then I hear  another one add I begin to enjoy it then I download it.
      The question here is why is it wrong to listen to these songs?

    From the abundance of the heart the mouth speak forth. Garbage in garbage out. The more you listen to it the more you become like it. This is just me thinking out loud! !!

    1. There is music that is secular but not necessarily ungodly - the lyrics
    2. If you want to be a musician, you may need to listen to all sorts of music just to learn and use it for God.
    3. On a deeper level, you should concentrate on music that truly ministers life to you and this will depend on your level of spiritual growth. Some gospel music is quite shallow.

    What you feed on determines what you become. When you listen to Christian music more, it helps to develop your spirit
